How Shared LinkedIn Workspaces Handle an Added Account

Collaborate across multiple LinkedIn profiles without sharing passwords: delegated access, history scopes, and strict boundaries around private inboxes.

When a sales team, founder office, or agency scales outbound on LinkedIn, collaboration quickly runs into an awkward dilemma: how do multiple people manage campaigns and replies without sharing passwords in Slack or triggering security checkpoints?

Traditional workarounds are notoriously fragile. Reps share logins, run into 2FA verification loops, get flagged for IP mismatches, or risk leaking personal messages to colleagues.

Linxa solves this by separating delegated account execution from team workspace collaboration. Here is how shared workspaces handle added LinkedIn accounts, how history scoping works, and why your personal inbox always stays private.

Two distinct collaboration flows

Depending on whether you are delegating a LinkedIn profile to a manager or inviting a colleague to co-pilot your deals, Linxa provides two purpose-built invite paths:

Account Delegation

Add LinkedIn Account

  • Purpose: Connect an account for delegated outreach management.
  • Requires Linxa Chrome extension with active LinkedIn login.
  • Grants delegated execution access to the workspace owner.
  • Account owner joins workspace with full shared CRM history.
  • Bindings can be inspected or revoked anytime in Settings.
Workspace Collaboration

Regular Team Invitation

  • Purpose: Add colleagues, SDRs, or executives to collaborate.
  • Does not require delegating their personal LinkedIn session.
  • Invitee chooses history scope: full past history vs. from join date.
  • Provides access to shared CRM pipeline and deal notes.
  • Maintains independent user roles and permissions.

What happens when you accept an “Add LinkedIn Account” link

When a teammate or client receives an Add LinkedIn Account link, they open it in their browser where the Linxa Chrome extension is running with an active LinkedIn tab.

Accepting the link creates a secure, durable delegation binding:

  • Delegated access to the inviter: The workspace owner or agency operator can run approved sequences, schedule posts, and review prospect messages on that account’s behalf.
  • Full shared CRM history: The account owner is automatically welcomed into the inviter’s workspace with full visibility into deals, pipeline stages, and contact timelines.
  • No password exchange: The account owner never types or hands over their LinkedIn password. Linxa bridges the session securely through the browser extension and residential proxy network.

History scoping on standard team invites

In contrast, when you invite a new teammate via a standard Team Invitation, they might not need—or want—the entire backlog of historical customer conversations.

Linxa gives the invitee a deliberate choice upon onboarding:

1. Full Workspace History

The team member can view past customer interactions, enriched contacts, and deal notes accumulated since the workspace was founded. Ideal for onboarding new full-time account executives.

2. Activity Starting When Joining

The team member only sees contacts and activities created from the moment they join onward. Ideal for external contractors, specialized SDRs, or project-based contributors.

Strict boundaries: what is never shared

A core architectural commitment in Linxa is that collaboration must never compromise personal privacy or account security:

No Private Inbox Browsing

Linxa syncs contacts and deal conversations relevant to sales outreach. Personal chats with family, friends, or recruiters are never exposed to teammates.

No Ownership Transfer

The LinkedIn account remains 100% owned by the individual. Delegated access does not transfer ownership or permanently lock the account to any organization.

Revocable at Any Time

Team owners and account owners can view active bindings in Settings and revoke delegated access with a single click at any moment.

Independent feature gating

Team includes CRM deal tracking. Linxa Agent conversational capabilities remain separately team-gated, so workspace administrators retain granular control over advanced intelligence tools and outbound workflows.

Scale team outreach with complete confidence

Manage multiple LinkedIn accounts, collaborate on pipeline, and keep passwords safe with Linxa.
